That was the bold claim from the organisers of Geo Business 2018 during the run up to this years event. We sent some of our team along to check it out.
Geo Business is the go-to event on the calendar for everyone involved in the gathering, storing, processing and delivery of geospatial information. It’s fair to say that both days were very busy, because in our industry it’s kind of a big deal.
Taking place on Tuesday & Wednesday of this week at the Business Design centre in London, Geo Business 2018 attracted around 3,000 visitors from over 50 countries.
The trade exhibition attracted over 200 international suppliers showcasing their latest products and services. With lots of attention to UAV’s, Virtual and Augmented reality, new surveying equipment and software, GIS & Big data, smart cities and mobile mapping and of course BIM. We tested and gathered information on a wide range of products & services from our usual suppliers and met some interesting new ones too.
It’s not just an exhibition though, there was a packed conference program, seminars and workshops and quite a few social events too, including the very popular “Ale Trail”. Our team were really impressed with the wide variety of topics covered.
Spatial Dimensions Managing Director commented “Geo Business keeps on growing and delivering. For us it’s essential to keep up to date with emerging trends and innovative technology.”
“Our clients rely on us to deliver new solutions to their challenges. Attending the show ensures we continue to be at the forefront of new technology, in an industry that is changing rapidly.”
“The event also provides us with a chance to catch up with industry colleagues from around the world. Everyone I spoke to was impressed with the growth of the event, the hall was packed and buzzing throughout.”
“We will definitely be back next year as we certainly don’t want to miss out on the next industrial revolution :-)”
